Step 4 of 5
Spouse visa (LTSVP) first application
Immigration
Last verified 1 Nov 2026
Draft: based on one couple's experience and still being checked. Always confirm with the office.
This step is still being written. So far, it covers how the sponsor proves their income.
The sponsor is usually the Malaysian spouse, but can be someone else. Whoever the sponsor is must show they have an income:
- Collect the sponsor’s payslips for the last 3 months.
- Ask the sponsor’s employer for an employment verification letter. Give HR our template: they put it on company letterhead, fill it in, sign it and add the company stamp.
- Bring both with the application.
The other documents and steps for the first application will be added here.
